Netherlands • Project coordinator

A non-profit foundation promoting mental health, emotional well-being, and Nature Intelligence (NQ) through research, education, and training. Founded by Dr. Thomas Albers (positive psychologist, PhD Sapienza University of Rome), Anatta has trained over 550 professionals across Europe and coordinated multiple Erasmus+ projects on nature-based learning and digital well-being.

BACKSLASH

Spain • Leads Training & Capacity Building

A Valencia-based NGO with over a decade of experience empowering young people through education, mental health support, and environmental action. With a multidisciplinary team of staff, collaborators, and volunteers, BACKSLASH operates at the crossroads of digital innovation and youth well-being, developing methodologies, e-learning tools, and training programmes that translate research into real impact on the ground. With 20+ Erasmus+ KA2 projects and 120+ KA1 mobilities under its belt, BACKSLASH brings both the experience and the networks. Its close ties with local and regional governments, universities, and youth councils in Valencia ensure that project outputs are tested and embedded in real youth work settings and not just developed theoretically.

Italy • Leads VR Tool Development — technical design, prototyping, testing and iteration

An innovative technology company specialising in immersive learning, VR applications, and gamification. Developed Benessere Aumentato — a platform with 90 VR-based self-help paths for mental well-being. The team includes VR developers, UX/UI designers, and a PhD researcher in psychometric methodologies (Francesca Borghesi, University of Turin).

Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC)

Italy • Leads UX research, user testing and scientific validation of VR tools

The ExperienceLab at UCSC (www.xp-lab.it), coordinated by Prof. Alice Chirico, works at the intersection of Positive Technology, complex emotional experiences, and the study of real-versus-virtual environments, with a focus on the design of digital experiences that foster positive emotions, engagement, flow, creativity, and personal change. Its work explores how emotionally meaningful digital experiences can support well-being, with particular attention to the psychological similarities and differences between real and virtual environments. Within the project, UCSC contributes expertise in UX design, positive psychology, emotions, and scientific validation to support the development and evaluation of nature-based digital interventions.
